Oppose Government Censorship of Commodity Trading
Bruce Babcock joined a few other publishers in a lawsuit against the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to challenge its requirement that publishers of commodity trading information must register with the government and pay a licensing fee before publishing information about trading commodity futures.
Believe it or not, your federal government takes the position that in order to publish what you see on this internet site or to publish books or trading systems, a person must register and pay an annual fee. You may freely publish information about how to blow up school buses, but you must register to write about how to make money trading futures. And your advertising must conform to government requirements. Why is commodity trading treated differently from all other subjects? What happened to the First Amendment?
